DEADLINE FOR APP CHALLENGE: November 1, 2017

You may have recently received information from Cara Cox, a staffer for Representative Bruce Westerman, about the 2017 Congressional App Challenge. After visiting with several teachers and administrators, Dawson Coop is putting together a 1 Day Workshop to help your school get entered into the Congressional App Challenge. This workshop will also provide teachers with information on how they can cover their ENTIRE Coding Block Standards as well as numerous High School Computer Science Standards using a FREE program that will work on all platforms. And what do students do with these skills after they learn them, they apply them through the Apps for Good Program,a model to teach Entrepreneurship. And to top it off we will provide a cross curricular opportunity with Arkansas History and Civics. What more can you ask for, FREE, CROSS CURRICULAR, STANDARDS, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP. Oh and you want your students to win right? Winners will be featured on the US House of Representative Website, as well as on display in an exhibit at the U.S. Capitol.
